International Christmas Charity Bazaar

ICCB 2024 Celebrates
22 Years Spreading the Magic

The International Christmas Charity Bazaar 2024 celebrates 22 Years of Spreading the Magic on NOVEMBER 30th, 2024 at Vilniaus Rotušė (Didžioji g. 31, Vilnius 01128), inside Vilnius Town Hall and outside in Town Hall Square.

Last year we were able to raise 74 774 EUR for eight charities around Lithuania.

Photos of the event, handover ceremony and completed projects areavailable on the ICCB Facebook page

And we are happy to introduce ICCB selected
beneficiaries 2024:

- Dienos Centras „Mes esame“, Vilnius

Center provides high-quality day care services for adults with intellectual and complex disabilities and mental disorders; develops the social and work skills and abilities of the service users; and carries out social integration and empowerment policies to bring
about positive changes.

The purchase of modular furniture and a massage chair would improve the quality of rest and daily life at the center.

- Pal. Kun. Mykolo Sopočkos Hospisas, Vilnius

This hospice is a place where professional medical, psychological, social, spiritual assistance, care and nursing are provided to persons suffering from serious and incurable diseases and where help is provided to persons in the terminal stage of oncological and
other diseases.

Financial support for the purchase of new beds, bedside cabinets, anti-bedsore airflow mattress, mobile bath, mobile lift, infusion pumps.

- Linkuvos Socialinių Paslaugų Centras, Linkuva, Pakruojo raj.

This center, which provides general and specialized social services to residents of Pakruojis district, consists of seven units: two Nursing Homes, three Community Children's Homes, Crisis Center,
Independent Living Home. The center's goal is to create socially, psychologically, and economically acceptable living conditions for vulnerable residents, including the elderly, disabled adults, at-risk adults and their families, orphans, at-risk children, and disabled children.

The Center needs funds to purchase a large wooden gazebo (for about 15-20 people). This would provide a shared space for individual and group activities. A psychologist could hold emotional support and self-help groups outdoors instead of indoors.

- Vaikų Dienos Centras “Aitvarai”, Vindeikiai, Širvintų raj.

This day care center serves 40 children aged 7–14 from Musninkai and the surrounding villages, 11 of whom have special needs.
While the center is mainly aimed at children at social risk, it is also popular with children who are not at social risk as there is a lack of meaningful leisure activities for children in rural areas. The day center provides children with meals, lessons, creative activities, sports, games, outings, excursions, meetings and other events aimed at getting to know each other better, broadening their horizons and learning, developing their social competences and
household skills.

Funding is requested to purchase a minibus to safely transport children home after activities, provide access to more educational outings, and offer reliable transportation for those in need.

- VšĮ “Atsigręžk į vaikus”, Vilnius

This organization provides short-term/long-term social care for children who have lost parental care according to the family-friendly environment model as well as psychosocial services for other vulnerable groups of society: children living in social risk families,
with various behavioral and emotional problems, victims of various forms of abuse, and their family members.

Funding is requested to enclose and install a roof over the terrace so that children can spend time there when it rains or in cooler weather (spring, fall). The roof also protects from the direct heat of the sun. This would create an additional space where children could spend their free time, prepare lessons, communicate and play.

- Kelmės Aklųjų ir Silpnaregių Centras, Kelme

This center provides preventive, general and special social services, as well as, rehabilitation, socio-cultural and other services to people with visual or other disabilities and the elderly. It carries out educational activities, organizes day employment, self-help
groups, artistic self-expression, cultural activities, rehabilitation of the disabled, psychological support, recreation, sports, and tourism.

Provides service for 156 people with special needs.

Funding is requested to install a new heat furnace with a heat pump, therefore generating significant savings in energy costs (forecasted savings is 3276.58 euros per year).

- Sutrikusio intelekto jaunuolių centras „Viltis“, Klovainiai, Pakruojo raj.

This center comprises a day care center which provides daily social care and short-term social care services to young people age 18+ who have a mental/mental or complex disability plus a Protected
Housing service for people with mental/psychological disabilities who are accommodated in apartments and assisted by a social worker.

Funding is requested to purchase a a car to transport clients to the doctor and other essential appointments. Many clients struggle to access the healthcare and services they need. Having a dedicated vehicle would ensure they can attend medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other important activities, improving their overall well-being and quality of life.

- Vilniaus Rajono Šeimos ir Vaiko Gerovės Centras, Vilnius District

This Center provides social services for families at risk, including childcare services in children care homes and day care services at the Children's Day Center and Care center. Center provides counseling, psychosocial, legal and other assistance to carers and their children in order to properly educate and nurture the child in a family-friendly environment. It also provides services and assistance to children with special needs and children with disabilities.

Funding is requested for playground improvement, as currently some parts of the playground do not meet the requirements or s are lacking rubber safety mats.

Who Can Apply For Support

Each year the Organising Committee of the ICCB selects beneficiaries from among registered Lithuanian public institutions in order to support improvements in the lives of children, women, and the elderly without the means to help themselves.

We welcome applications for support from registered Lithuanian public institutions serving children, women, and the elderly, who have formed a close working partnership with the municipality for the purpose of addressing the particular hardships these groups face over the long term. Ideally, we would like to support projects which make a lasting contribution towards improvements in the lives of the disadvantaged and ill.

How To Apply

To apply for support, please fill out the form below and contact the ICCB Committee by e-mail: iccblietuva@gmail.com.

Applications will be received and reviewed by the ICCB Charity Sub-Committee which creates a shortlist based on the published Selection Criteria. Members of the Organising Committee will visit potential beneficiaries in order to consider their applications in more detail. Applicants will then be contacted to inform them of whether their application has been successful.  Exact amounts of each donation will be determined only after the Bazaar – dependent on the gathered available funds.

We are accepting applications for the 2024 Bazaar, please complete and submit this form before June 30th 2024:
